Ndifor Miranda Mafor

Born in Bafut, to a humble farming family, Ndifor Miranda grew up battling chronic illness and societal misunderstanding. Misinterpreted and often ostracized for her deep compassion and a disrupted spiritual gift, she found solace in helping the elderly and vulnerable around her, even as a child.

Her dream of becoming a reverent sister and aiding those in need led her through multiple religious congregations. Yet recurring health issues and misunderstanding of her condition pushed her to reimagine her path. Miranda realized that her true mission extended beyond convent walls.

In 2020, she left the Dominican Sisters of Blessed Imelda with little more than faith and 200,000 CFA francs in hand. That journey proved miraculous. After a chance encounter with a stranger on a bus who gifted her 700,000 CFA francs to support her mission, she founded Divine Touch Orphanage Home on March 7, 2021.

What began as a sanctuary for mentally challenged children quickly expanded, responding to regional crises and sheltered orphans, internally displaced children, and street kids. Despite financial hardship, health battles, and housing instability that claimed lives, Miranda remains fiercely devoted. She believes her purpose is divine and has vowed that only death will separate her from the children she protects.

Today, she dreams of permanent facilities with inclusive education, healthcare, vocational training, and self-sustaining agriculture, where every child feels safe, seen, and nurtured.
